Vintage Miniature Dollhouse IGMA Artisan Obadiah Fisher Sterling Silver Tray
This is a
lovely, vintage artisan crafted dollhouse
scale handled tray. It is made of sterling silver, and was made by the talented miniature IGMA artisan Obadiah Fisher, signed on the underside. It has a wonderful shape with scalloped beveled edges, an oblong shape, double handles and a charming emblem engraved in its center. This is a very hard-to-find piece.

This wonderful little miniature was from a collection, 40 years in the making.  Every collection has a story and this one is well, just wonderfully special. I was surprised to see such a tiny home with so many minis, the story behind the person, is that she lived a grand life in a large home, she traveled the world in search for artisan miniatures and boy did she find them.  This collection is so vast, it features miniatures from artisans around the world, most pre internet as she preferred to go to shows or meet the artisans directly but
what was so ‘wonderfully’ special to me, was in the last years of her life, she sold her estate, moved to a small home and surrounded herself with all of the things that made her happy…her miniatures and  I know she would want each piece to find a wonderful new collection to reside within.  Any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. I sell mainly VINTAGE miniatures, if you are an ARTISAN who made a particular miniature and recognize it as yours…Please contact me, I buy collections from former miniature collectors, many times I have to rely on the notes left by the former owners as MANY miniatures (as lovely as they are) are NOT marked.  If a miniature I have listed is yours but attributed to another artisan, kindly inform me and I will change the listing and or at the very least add a note to the listing.  I have heard from my customers that some artisans are sharing (gossiping) that I am purposely not adding their names to listings or I am listing someone else’s name.  If your item is NOT marked, I list them as ‘Unknown or Mystery Artisan’, if there are notes from owner indicating who they believe it was made by, I will use their notes but change if I am told otherwise.  I respect and admire all artisans and would never intentionally give credit to a different artisan.  I also do not engage and I refrain from hurtful gossip, communication is key.
