Temple Painting Illustrations Buddhist Praying Monks Buddhism

Set of 2 antique or vintage Temple painting illustrations featuring praying/meditating monks with writing under each scene. From what I can tell, the black band of writing is separate from the illustration and not on the same paper.
The colors are still very vibrant and the subjects expertly rendered.
These paintings might have come from a manuscript.
The frames measure~ 12″ x 10 1/2″. The illustrations measure~ 5 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ and
Condition: I noted some fading to the color in spots and some surface wear to the paper from age. The frames are in very good shape. Please see pics for condition.
