Presented for your consideration is this neat antique traveling/portable phonograph. The phonograph is a Kompact phonograph made by the Plaza Music Company. The phonograph stores nicely in a leather lined hard shell camera case that looks similar to that of a Brownie camera. The case opens up to reveal the green felt lined turntable. Just above the turntable is the manufacturer’s plaque. The arm of the phonograph is stored inside of the lid and folds out to hover over the turntable. At the end of the arm is a Victrola #2 reproducer. All of the parts secure inside the case and the case secures closed with latches at the sides. Guaranteed to be old. Dates to the 1920s. This neat phonograph would make a nice addition to any music memorabilia collection!
No crank is included. The phonograph is not currently working. Unsure as to what it would require to get it working properly, may just be a minor adjustment. A wear spot is on the top of the arm. General light wear from age and use. Overall in VERY GOOD condition. Sold as found. Please refer to the photos for the best details.
When closed it measures 5 1/4″ wide, 8″ deep and 6″ tall.
